It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closure of [Ya Momma’sKitchen].

After careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to shut the doors effective [February 14, 2025]

I really want to express my deepest gratitude for your support throughout the years. It has been a privilege to serve you, and I'm thankful for the wonderful memories created. Your loyalty and patronage have meant the world to me.

This is one of the hardest posts I’ve had to write, but I feel it’s finally time to share.

There were many factors that led to this decision, but the main one is simply not enough revenue. The events of the past few months—including the senseless tragedy (murder) that occurred over 4 months ago, continued violence in the area, and incidents like the robbery just right next door—made it clear that this environment was no longer sustainable. On top of that, ongoing building maintenance issues further complicated things.

I gave everything I had to this business—my energy, my passion, my time my 110% wholeheartedly —but my health and my customers' safety have to come first. After 6 years of hard work, I know this is the right decision for my well-being, despite the toll it’s taken on me physically and mentally. From recent health issues and constant fatigue to the stress of handling it all, I’m ready for a change & to enter a new chapter whatever that should be

Though I’m stepping away from the kitchen, I’m not done. I’m grateful for everything this experience has taught me, and I’m excited to explore new opportunities, maybe even managing/restaurant, perhaps WFH (back in the MedicaI Insurance) ...I do trust that God has a plan, and I’m ready to see where it leads me.

Here’s to new beginnings, and I’m going to be great, cause God always have my "Best" interest, even when I don't understand it
